It's now time for you to put a LOUD of your own into action. The final section of this unit asks you to be LOUD in a way that taps into your interests, ideas and passions. There are many ways we can be loud and some of those can even involve silence. What will you do to express yourself? Where will your creativity take you? How will you share something with the world? In what ways will you make an impact on the world with your voice?

MY VOICE

HOW CAN I SHOUT OUT?

Ultimately it is up to you. Suggestions for how you could create something to share your voice are presented in the grid below. Of course though, there is inifinite ways in which a person can assert their loud. If you have your own idea for what you could do let your teacher know.

Could you go Heywire?

Heywire gives you an opportunity to tell your story, be a trailblazer, apply for a grant or all three. WIth a focus on giving regional students a platform to achieve going Heywire could see you making a difference.

Check out the Heywire site for examples, ideas and information. You might want to create a piece to enter or one just for yourself.

Feel like putting on your local region proud jumper? Recent competitions have encouraged local people to create a video about what is fantastic about the places you live in. Be inspired by what you see and create your own video accolade to what you love about where you live.

The Community Fund is an organisation that does lots to make our region great. They change things up each year. They could have other project ideas for you at their page.

The ATOM awards run each year and you can enter film and photo work you create.

$500 prizes are up for grabs, plus the fun in making this stuff which is free to all.

Visit the ATOM competition websites to access the theme you need to use when developing a work. Films will need to be scripted and photos will need to have explanations.

HONY began as a photography project. Brandon Stanton wanted to photograph 10,000 New Yorkers to create a catalogue of 'Big Apple' people. From his project a 'vibrant blog' came to life  documenting the lives of New Yorkers and people around the world. HONY has become a documentary site which embodies the power of sharing stories and how connection through stories can help heal and make the world a better place.

Anh Do's work is akin to Stanton's in having a voice that inspires and helps people in life. Do's series Brush with Fame examples his passion for conversation about 'life, death...your greatest joy and deepest regret'.

Who could you interview for a story or point of view? How could you document the piece? NB: You can choose for your piece to be private or public in nature.
